Thanks.
Press tab after typing the name, and only then close the window.
Yes it works...
I disagree, it is more likely that you clicked somewhere else in the
window before closing. The same thing happens on Sugar-0.105.1; if
you close the window immediately after typing the name, it is lost.
I am running 13.2.4 for XO-1 (build 16) with Sugar 0.104.1.
When I go My to Settings Network and try to add a Server name I notice I
could not save a name of my choice e.g. schoolserver.myserver.com. In the past
I did have success adding schoolserver.lan

Thanks for the feedback. Just that I have been testing other people web
applications (and saving me time) with docker that I feel perhaps a kid with an
XO can do the same and learn something with lighter weight virtualization.
Hope some developer can take up Sam's and your recommendation of
I'm puzzled as to why you would want an XO laptop to host docker
applications; thus going slower and having less memory.
Perhaps some real smart children can start using their XO laptop to learn how
to host various web applications from docker.
Asking for Docker to be surrounded by Sugar
Was reading this and I am curious if any work has been done on Docker on XO
laptops or in a Sugar environment? Read previous threaded exchanges between
Michaël Ohayon and Gonzalo Odiard.

With SOAS Fedora 22 coming to the stage of final release I would like to know
if we can expect the collaboative features of Sugar to be functioning.
I tried Memorize, Maze and Write with two SOAS and it did not work. Have
reported this issue before.

I tested the 2 SOAS-22 via a connection to the schoolserver AP. Collaboration
works normally between XOs-1 running 13.2.4.
In Adhoc network connection I could not see the other person in neighbourhood
view.
I think collaboration work on SOAS-17 and below as I alway try to see if the
SOAS
Is this registered to the schoolserver? Or only connected to the AP?
Only connected to the Schoolserver via the AP without registration.
Did you see the person in neighbourhood view while using the AP?
Yes they showed up together with any other activities shared by the XO. Could
join by the
Okay, and please bear with me; I don't have the data quota to download
SOAS images; but is the Server entry box in the Collaboration section
of the Network panel of the My Settings set or is it blank?
It has the jabber.sugalabs.org and I have blank it out first for my testing.
I registered the
Thanks Samuel.
So there is effort needed to port Sugar to the versions of Telepathy
in use in Fedora and whatever other distributions are used.
I'm in favour of that.
+ 1 hope a SOaS (sos) call will get it back to its core functionality and
uniqueness.
Thank you all for the feedback.
This keeps coming up.
I believe that due to changes in telepathy, collaboration (at least for
Jabber) has not worked for the past few Fedora releases.
Not sure which version but in the past I did have some fun linking up XO-1 and
SOAS for varied shared activities. Reliability was good enough at
So if you do not blank it out, but leave it as it is, and allow it to
connect to jabber.sugarlabs.org, everything works fine?
Did my last testing with conection to jabber.sugarlabs.org. Not able to get the
shared activity to show/display to join and test.
So things are really broken :-(
I managed to test Sugar on Fedora 22 release (SoaS 22). Looking good.
However I have not been able to get activities working on collaboration mode -
memorize, write, record, etc.
Wonder if this is my problem ?
Cheers and a good weekend

Who actually is using/testing these images? Why?
I am as I try to to see if I could still get some life out of XO with whatever
development that is going forward with upgrades.
Is there a reason you are not looking into using an official (OLPC or
deployment) build?
Use that also but
Thanks for working on the browser issue and hope more people get involved so
that the XO-1 can get the recent software update - all except XO-1 currrently
because of the browser issue.
I notice when I point the current browser to www.youtube.com I get kickout and
it will return me back to
Things seems normal to me.
You mean the language control panel?
Yes
The other laptop buddy icons not appearing is probably a known
problem, to verify type:
sudo systemctl status avahi-daemon.service
and look for error SO_REUSEPORT failed: Protocol not available.
I get output:

Things seems normal to me.
For the XO-1 wireless and mesh in not working well. I have been only been able
to login to my non-password wireless network ystem and other XO do not showup
in the network when I am sucessfully connected.
This confirm Samuel report of issue of networking in XO-1 on
Looking forward to a rebuild that would work on a SD card for XO-1.
To make life easier when running the XO from SD, turning power management off
is good:-)

It will work BUT it will freeze the SD functioning. The XO will hang. Hence if
the build has if ON the user do not need to turn if off manually
after logon ASAP before power management kick in!

Great... downloading it for testing. Would love to see how well video playing
and streaming work with the new images.
Thanks.

If possible I would like to test 0.104 in the field...What would be
the easiest upgrade procedures? I read the

I am using OS 13.2.1 and upgrade to Sugar 0.104 will be fine.
