I just had another request for developing Sugar on Ubuntu. The wiki says
to use sweets [1]. From what I have heard currently people on Ubuntu
have been using sugar-build just fine. Should we update the docs and
point devs to sugar-build?

From what I understand, sugar-build is only for 12.10. If is not currently
maintained for other releases. But also, sugar-build, while a great tool
for developers, may be too volatile of an environment for end users. IMHO,
we still have a significant gap in our Ubuntu support.

I think the wiki should clearly differentiate between users and developers.
I'm not sure Sweets is good enough for users either though. We need
packages, which looks pretty much unmaintained on Ubuntu these days.
