Has any developer here an idea of the problem and what it will take to solve
it? Specifically, are there any differences between SoaS and the current
Sugar implementation on the OLPC that could be responsible?
Thanks for any insight.

I've just noted that the /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages folder does not
include csnd.py. That folder also contains many fewer files that the
corresponding one in python2.5.
As a matter of fact, python2.5 seems about a third the size of 2.6. Is all this
correct?

Thanks to Luke Macken's new version of the LiveUSB-creator utility, I've
been able to build both soas03.iso and soas04.iso sticks.
I'm happy to report that Csound and csound-python work fine on both, no
updates required. Very nice
I've run into a major unexpected problem with both,
What bit of code would identify SoaS as Strawberry, in contrast to any later
versions, including soas03, soas04 and eventually Blueberry?

I've now got whole-screen scrollbars working well in my music activities,
but I'd like to make the bars wider. The automatic settings (as used in most
activities) are too narrow for my taste.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

solution (for other
than VM's?). With SoaS's narrow scrollbars, kids are left with a major
impediment - as am I (a quite senior citizen with similar challenges).
I'd suggest, for starters, that SoaS scrollbars default to a width about
double what they are currently.

I'd surely suggest that SoaS use Alt+touchpad. (Or on Windows keyboards,
surely the Windows keys are also available.)
SoaS sorely needs a keyboard shortcut.

If this is typical, I'm wondering if there is any way to improve Blueberry's
