Hi John: The resolution of the screen is 1080 lines TOTAL, not DPI. So if the screen is 48 inches high you are at 22.5 DPI. I often get confused about the lines vs. DPI and so this might really be more like 45 DPI. I find it's good if the source resolution is better than the display
