Hi Jeroen,
OK. I have the router being configured for IPSec. Are there any tips

Thanks.

Markus,
Have you tried hooking up a typical laptop (xp, vista, linux) to the network
connection and gotten a reliable connection with dhcp?

Thanks for the replys. First, i corrected the issue with the lack of a
second DNS last week. My internet is up and working. The thing is that i
am not getting the same IP address i used to. I think this is yet another
stupid change. I tried a cheap linksys router that lets me manually put in
It appears you are on an older version of pfSense. Try upgrading to
1.2rc3or wait till
1.2rc4 comes out within the next couple of weeks.

I guess i shouldn't have assumed that you were on an older version, but your
reference to how you added the IP addresses arp and other, were more like
the terms used for 1.01 and not 1.2rc2 and 1.2rc3 where proxy arp, carp and
ip were the options. Sorry for the misinformation.

On Jan 16,
With pfSense in place did you get any wierd log messages relating to arp?
How is your ISP delivering their connectivity to you?

Hi,
did anyone install pfsense with such configuration? I am
using it with the Windows GUI (Mathias one, very good
indeed) but I am unable to configure it using KVPNC on
Fedora.
Could anyone help?

Sigh. I'll gzip -d the file on the server and allow the .iso to be
populated to the mirros without any type of compression. Sorry ISP's!

You do not need to extract the update file.
alright. Im goofy. I guess i just got used to decompressing the image
before burning to cd. And the 7zip works fine for the ISO. thanks, Ryan

Not really, it's also just smart to check whether the archive is in mint
i did the firmware upgrade with the update, I don't see that it has been

I have an Airlink 101 MIMO XR PCI and am trying to use it as the WAN.
The first problem is pfSense doesn't show it's match as an option, if
there is a fix for this, I could problably take it from there. Is
this possible if so, how. I'm running the latest greatest RC4.
Does anyone know if 802.11x is enabled on the WAN? I have really slow speeds
on comcrap, and I know this is an issue if your running windows.

Not that I'm aware of and I've never had issues with either of my
current Comcast wans
I get all 16 mbit of my comcast connection here. if anything pfsense runs
BETTER than crappy linksys/netgear/dlink/belkin standalone routers for
broadband connections. windows systems have no issue

that has not yet been defined...and 802.1x is network access control...does
Comcast require this?

Meh. I ran the upgrade from 1.2-RC3 and DNS got hosed. I've swapped
it over to my dev server in the meantime, but the problem is that
