Elphel- Eyesis progress
In spite of a few delay from our suppliers we are moving forward with assembly and testing. Today we tested the assembled camera shade for acoustical noise while moving at speed 30-55 mph. There was a concern that it can create quite a whistle, but it turns out to be mild.
Now, all the parts have arrived finally and we are finishing the camera and the data storage assembly. Once the cameras are fully assembled, we will need to adjust the focus of the lenses, based on the tests we have developed, while selecting the lenses.
The software and FPGA programming are almost done, and we can capture the frames from 3 sensors simultaneously and receive them as 1 large frame. It still needs to be debugged and tested on the assembled camera.
