Oleg, I've done the suggested test and also copied over the IMU_LOGG.XML file.  All of this can be found in the zip file here. I did use the parser 'read_imu_log', however, I'm still not sure if the results make sense.  Also, the parser would time-out*, but

Oleg, Right now the imu rate is about 2500 samples per second.  Is the configuration parameter 'imu_period' used to reduce the rate of the imu?    According to documentation: imu_period - set the IMU logging period in SPI SCLK periods, maybe set to auto
