Hi, Eric, Thanks for your quick response. I spent yesterday night fiddling with this issue and I found out what the problem was. I compared the softwares installed at Elphel's live USB with the ones I had, and notice the abscence of gecko-mediaplayer, that is used together with gnome-mplayer in

Hi there, Oleg, First, thanks for all your help. I have been able to open Elphel and connect the CF Cards succesfully. At first, I thought the camera hadn't recognized them because the first interface of the Disk recorder page showed no devices found, but after messing about a little bit, I found

Hi there, an update to this issue: I've re-ran nmap and it does seem to recognize Elphel's IP. It's the only one identified (Hon Hai Precision). I can ping to all of the IPs recognized, except for Elphel's, which just hangs without response. This is the output of my nmap:

Hi, Oleg, Thanks for the answer. I'll reboot and try the with the live USB. My network is dhcp, all the computers plugged to a router via cables or wireless. But I do have access to the router, in case it's needed. I'll be back soon. 2012/4/19 Oleg support-list@support.elphel.com Flavio,

Flavio, From the camera's homepage go to System Preferences - Network. And change the ip address (to 192.168.1.9, for example) so it would be valid for in current subnetwork (if the default mask 255.255.255.0) which is 192.168.1.xxx in your case. How did you set up the wired interface address?

Flavio, From what I have, there was an issue with DMA from the cards, but the thread seems to be old. What precautions should I take in opening the camera? Also, if the cards do not work, will the camera simply hang or is there any chance of damaging it? Check out videos from this page
