I got an error message that a program could not run because
it needed libslang.so.1 . When I run locate, it shows it
the file located onmy system at /usr/i486-linux-libc5/
My question is how (syntax) and where (what file )
do I add this directory so the system knows where look
for it in the future?

PS: sorry if this in the FAQ, I was in a hurry and knew the list
was the fastest way to find an answer.
