I spent some time figuring out which options to use with s2ram for my laptop, and thought the results may be of use to you guys.
I am running suse linux enterprise desktop 10.0 with all current updates installed as of today. I am not sure exactly which version of powersaved this entails. I do not have the -m option on s2ram, so I am assuming it is not the latest version. I tried the following combinations with frambuffer enabled, and with vga=0 at boot.: -a1; -a2; -a3; -s; -p; -a1 -s; -a1 -p; -a2 -s; -a2 -p; -a3 -s; -a3 -p. None would work with frambuffer enbled.
The following combinations are the only that worked...
vga=0 at boot and
-s
-p
-a2 -s
-a2 -p
Here is the output of s2ram -i:
This machine can be identified by:
sys_vendor = "Dell Inc."
sys_product = "ME051 "
sys_version = ""
bios_version = "A08"
Hope it helps.
Thank you all for all of your hard work,
Clyde McClung
