Hello,

This is to report a s2ram success on a Vaio TX17 ...
        sys_vendor   = "Sony Corporation"
        sys_product  = "VGN-TX17GP_W"
        sys_version  = "J0019H8C"
        bios_version = "R0031V1"

Kernel is Debian (sid) linux-image-2.6.17-1-686.

What works is 's2ram -f -p' from X.

Without X, none of the command lines in README.s2ram-whitelist work.
The screen either stays black (-a) or commands hang & the kernel
complains via hda & ide about DMA & timeouts & lost interrupts. I
didn't try vga=0.

With X, I also tried 's2ram -f -p -s' & 's2ram -f -s'.  They seemed
not to work, but I may have been impatient.

After about 20 powercycles, I got a bit jaded, but if there's any
interest I'll try harder.

Thanks for s2ram,

Brian Keck
