I
am sure one of the advantages of having older technology is that you are aware
of any so called inadequacies and you learn to use it better. I also think
believing you have superior equipment, finding it isnt so, and gettingyour
butt kicked brings about peace a bit earlier. I
i have some of the biggest hurdles done with my design of a diesel
airplane engine, but it's just a combination of turbine jet engine and
diesel piston engine.

The 1/2 H.P. diesel I saw was one cylinder,air cooled,cast
Iron,and very slow,it drove an irrigation pump.It was tall.There was a 15 or so
gallon drum on a stand next to it,with one old faucet valve in the fuel line.A
very simple setup.The newer engines are faster and built to closer
