Hello All,
Something strange was happening with the last batch. There is probably
something additional in the SWO. The oil never cleared after heated and the
water was removed (+55¡C). Still there was no worry as it has been seen before.
The titration was OK (2,5g+3,5g) and everything went
Hello All,
We are using normal water filter housings and filter elements. They are easy to
connect in line as they have standard threds (1 pipe connection). The filter
element you find down to 5 microns / and they are easy to change and very
cheap. We were using 65 micron washable element and

Can some one say how much glycerol there is in SVO (rapeseed, sunflower,
coco). Is the amount always constant 20 % or is it depending on the oil.

Thanks Keith,
I will immediately look into Wintron XC30 this sounds promissing. Thanks
again this news group is a gold mine of info for biodieselers.
The weather is back to nice -3¡C.

Hello All,
The winter took us again. We experienced a some how little colder peak

The winter is at the door. We are looking for information of different
bioadditives which can be used with BD in order for BD to be used at lower

Hello Ken,
The taxation is different for diffrent parts of Europa, in Germany the
taxation is different from Finland. In Finland we pay full tax for diesel as
well as biodiesel. We are waiting for the taxation to be changed in Finland
but nothing is done so far. The tax for Biodiesel in the car

Hello Keith
Thanks for your reply and info. The separator we have been able to borrow is
a Alfa Laval Alfie Oil/water separator. The separator is the smallest
separator on the market special built for fishing boats according to alfa

So you mean that the majonaise like thing is not related to poorly washed ME
but to clycerin remains in the ME. Do you know if this can be clycerine

from a uncomplete settling after the transesterification?
Thanks
Hello All,
We have been able to borrow a separator and our intetion was to use it to
separate the after wash ME (takeing the water mist out of the ready ME). We

Are there finnish biofuelers on the list. During the summer we have been
manufacturing more BD then we can use and the winter is closing up. We have
the possibility to sell some for road use (we pay the tax) if some one is

Hello Andreas and All,
Here is a brief description of our ideas for the continuous process as
mentioned earlier. We have been looking into the OFM processor.

Our idea is to use a single standing stainless steel pipe 6000 mm long. The
processor will be heated by a copper tube running
Hello All,
During long nights of batch processing BD the idea of building a continuous
process has been born. The first ideas is to make a standing
oscilatorprocessor. The feeding of the catalyt and the oil we are planning
to do with hose pumps. The pumps by it self has a 1% accuracy and by
