Potatoes are harder than most people think and you need a bit of
experience to get them right. Books make it sound so easy because they tend
to simpIify the process and take for granted that you have a full
understanding and experience of all the steps involved quite often

I am using potatoes.
As the first larger batch did not work I reduced the amount down to a
test size of 1kg
I cooked them until they were soft, choppped them up until they were
a paste.
I mixed 40grams of lager malt with water and let is sit for 1/2 an
hour.
