Vancouver, WA biofuel comes from Lilyblad Pertroleum in Tacoma, is shipped as 100% biofuel to Albina Fuel in Portland and is then mixed to create B20 blend. On March 20th, the Oregon Energy Office is sponsoring a day-long conference regarding biofuels for government agencies and fleet managers. Mark Kendall of the OEO sees potential for tapping the large volumes of waste oil produced at Eastern Oregon food processing plants such as the Lamb-Weston potato plant in Hermiston. Federal standards for ultra low sulfur dielsel are sheduled to go into effect 2007.
