I know this is a late reply but for current and the last few model years
Ford and Dodge do not offer the diesel in the 1/2 ton I have asked
dealers specifically and been told they don't.

and it's an awsome SUT. Best thing GM has done in a long time.
Looking to the future for diesel power. It's only a matter of
time before another gas or fuel shortage. I rember the early
70's well.

Not so on the Chevy any more Steve. The ened of production for the 6.5 TD
was in 2000. The Duramax (a 6.6L V8 turbo intercooled common rail DI
engine) is only available in 3/4 ton and larger pick ups. While the
