Hi Folks,

We've now got for you a first draft of the SWORD 2.0 profile of AtomPub,
and you can find it here:

http://swordapp.org/sword-v2/sword-v2-specifications/

The main document here is the Profile, but beneath it I will be adding
the first drafts of the Internet Drafts associated with it over the next
couple of days. The Packaged Content Delivery over HTTP draft is
already there, so 3 more to follow.

I have been watching this list over the last couple of weeks, but not
had bandwidth to respond yet. Nonetheless, there are some questions
raised which I'd like to pick up, and will do so soon.

The objective of this profile is to provide the next step in SWORD,
which is not necessarily the same as solving all interop questions in
one go. I have talked a lot to Dave and Tim about GData and hope that
what we've got here does not in any way impede the implementation of a
GData style approach /in addition/ to the standard SWORD method.

I'd be interested in any comments on this first draft of the spec,
particularly around whether it is actually technically correct (i.e.
does not contradict itself or AtomPub), whether there are any gotchas
that people can see, and whether the usage of MAY/SHOULD/MUST are correct.

Cheers,

Richard
