The American roster for the 14th World Veterans Athletic Championships this
July in Brisbane has been released -- and it contains several surprises and
ironies.
See the roster at: http://www.masterstrack.com/USAList.html

I just have a hard time believing that running in the national meet is such
a wicked burden. If he doesn't want to run that one meet, fine, but don't
try to sell the idea that he is being exploited by USATF. That's a bit much
given that USATF is an organization whose absence would remove the

He does not have to compete, all he has to do is participate in one

But he wants to be on the Edmonton team with no strings attached at all.
FWIW: I was in an airport waiting area when the '96 Olympic

was crowded around all available tvs. An audible gasp
was heard throughout the airport as MJ made men look like
boys, made sub20 runners look like joggers. Many of the

Didn't IAAF grant entry to all former World Olympic Champs? Now USATF
steps in declares all athletes from USA need to at least participate at
Nationals. Isn't this a bit of overstepping their own authority? Granted
that could be used to select relay members, but not for any individual

A report was published in a local Edmonton newspaper yesterday saying the
August track and field world championships could fall $15-million short of

Tell me Darrel, I
want to agree with you but I seem to be coming back to the same question. Why

"promoting our sport"? THAT, it seems to me, would be the place to do it? No?
It's not as though the lap counters in
