I believe that this has already been done to an extent. I seem to remember that when nationals were held at Furman a couple of years back, Doug Padilla had a system in place at the 1/2 point that showed which team was ahead (team scores) and it was transmitted to the scoreboard. I also seem to

If the pace of the rabbit is known ahead of time, I don't see how there could possibly be a gripe on the part of the other competitors if they choose not to hang with the lead. If they do hang with the rabbit and get outkicked or outlasted, that it would seem the rabbit was the superior athlete

We have talked about this on the list many times (check the archives if you are interested). I'd say opion is about 90% in favor of the rabbit retaining the win and anyone who complains is a big baby. A rabbit is hired to run a certain pace to a certain point. I've never heard of a stipulation
