Bob Hersh and Garry Hill both posted corrections to Shawn's understanding
of Rens Blom's qualification. Earlier, off-list, I had asked Shawn a
further question about the officials' latitude in making this sort of ad
hoc decision. I wonder whether someone can provide an answer:
