Enjoy the moment
This is truly what kills our sport, the moment someone does something special the
first thing out of everyones mouth is a negative. After watching the race last night
we should simply give Tim credit for a wonderful performance.
Enjoy it for what it is and also lets enjoy

This is the e-mail that Jeremy mentioned at the Morning "Juice" this
morningthought you all might like to read and participate in as well.
Both you guys make good points. I have been able to watch Savante develop over the
last few years and he will be anything but mediocre, I also believe that the other
Americans in the final - Pate Phillips have bright futures. All three of the young
men have what it takes - Speed , decent
Guy we are starting to get a little harsh here, the NCAA uses this system at the
indoor championships and they use it for the 400 outdoors. If you look at it closely
you will see that most conference meets use the format as well. Also look at the NCAA
results form the past few years, the
I agree with Darrell
The class that Curtis has put together is incredible, I have to believe that if
Arkansas or Stanford put together something like this on the distance side of things
for the men or women this list might be losing it mind right now. A certain T F News
cover comes to mind.
I would have to agree with Kebba on this one, Carl was the man and had plenty of
competiton even here in the US form the likes of Marsh, Burrell, Mitchell etc. And
have we forgotten that Carl won the deepest 100 final ever CL - 9.86, LB - 9.88, DM -
9.91 and I believe that 7th place was 9.99
I again wonder what goes through the minds of some of the people on this list, Track
field in this country especially in the sprints is at the level that it is because of
head to head competition. So now that two of our "STARS" had the misfortune of not
making the team, we want to change
You sir obviously know nothing of peaking and nothing of planning. I have a question
for you - Who have you ever coached in the sprints and besides sitting in front of
your computer looking at results, what do you know about track and field and the
development of a world class athlete?
You know just when I think that the BS on the list can get no worse it does. For
someone to openly imply that sprinters should quit school and that schools Div 1
schools in the south in particular should quit school is crazy! First of all there
have not been an over abundance of sprinters
