Illustrator's SVG import is famously buggy (and I say that as someone who
generally likes Illustrator very much). Your best bet is to use a tool with
a better understanding of SVG,
Inkscape produce image when export to pdf.
That is the problem come, in inkscape and in pdf from export, the design
different.
I has modified the inkscape edition in ilustrator, put in
space.meruvian.org/logos.
But need to confirm the design.
I use for printing purpose here.

Public-images-osm_logo-plain.ai
what file format is that? I cannot read it.
I dont use adobe or any non free software, I have inkscape.
please use open formats.
thanks,
mike

Hi,
Just a thought, but how about using an animated logo, for online use.
Would be lost on me since I have instructed my browsers not to
display animations.

Please, no. Unless you are really careful about who you let vote, this
sort of thing ends up on Slashdot and you end up with a logo everyone in
the project hates.

Hi,

What I'm thinking, is that as the logo has a magnifying glass, maybe it could
be animated to zoom in on a part of the map, and the location it zooms into
says Open Street Map

Is anyone interested in freshening up the OSM logo? The original
designer (Matt, cc'd) isn't involved in OSM much but the SVG is in svn.
have fun,
sounds like a good idea for another competition :)
