Colin,
I've been doing some coastline updates around the South West, and have been
basing my coastline on the OS_StreetView map layer which also shows MHW.
however the GPX file does not seem to match this. In Cornwall, which has a
very jagged coast, you can never rely on Bing as the angles
HI,
Yes, I removed this as I felt that it was incorrect and did not reflect the
conditions on the ground. It was specifically removed under one change back
in September 2016, whilst I was working on addressing some of the other mapping
errors around that area. The Change was
Looks like there has been an issue with changeset 30821940 Which seems to
have added the A30 through the whole of Cornwall on an incorrect route.

Didn’t want to back this change out myself, as not sure what else it changed.
Any thoughts or

Interestingly, Google show it on their map.

Hi Bernard,
Welcome to the GB Mailing List.
I believe the simple answer is yes.
There is a wiki page which you may have already found which lists which
councils have released data which we can use. Norfolk is on that list.

Hi Wintonian,
As long as you use the shapefile or KML and manipulate the data itself,
then there wont be a problem.
However, the Hants online map uses OS data which is crown copyright, and has
data which has not been released under OpenData, so you can't use copy the
data from that.

And then we end up with disputes over what areas you are and are not permitted
to enter. Broken Lines, and you are permitted to enter if safe, solid
lines, only permitted to enter in an emergency. Both of which technically
allow you to do a u turn, in the event that a incident dictates
+1 from me.

Just wondering what sources you have for this data. I noted that the

Thinking about how to code them, maybe boundary=civil would be acceptable.
Somebody could probably form an argument for boundary=Administrative, as
they do have an admin function, but they would need to be different from
the Civil Parish.

Hi Jason,
Think I’ve managed to fix the problem.
Looks like a user had split the heath area, and then added a stream tag to
part of it. This stream was actually sat on top of another stream when I
separated them.
Will need to check when the Map updates, might need a little bit of a
Agreed, this sounds like it's an ideal candidate to be made available as a
supplementary data source, like Bing, or the OpenData layers. Which can
then be manually transposed by map editors or used to confirm existing data.
I'll add my thoughts to the site.

This relates to some work I did on the Cornish county boundary a while back,
the same also has happened at Newton Ferrers, just south of Plymouth.
Whilst remapping the boundary, I also pushed the coastline further up the
channel. The new boundary has rendered, and the removal of the

Thanks Richard,
Thats good to hear, I'd managed to tidy up a lot of the A roads, but we would
have lost a lot of residential roads, and other local knowledge.
