Hey folks,i welcome the triumph of having a chat platform to discuss more and diversely for better OSM contribution,.. but, if we keep on jumping to new and newer chat platforms without even considering their built architectures - just for the sake of convenience, is detrimental in long term.

Hi Chetan, Its good to have an IM to chat, but slack as a private wall guarded platform looks like a bad idea.It would be better to explore other options like mattermost,riot or gitter(will be open soon). we had a similar discussion here
