At work we could do with a map of areas we cover (bits of west and
north Yorkshire). I am thinking of something like a translucent colour
overlay over a base streetmap.
It would have maybe 6 different colours for different areas, and a few
pins to mark specific locations.

Thanks for doing this. I knew their coverage wasn't great but
surprised at just how sparse.
Interesting that St Helens should be on list and also within Y! coverage

I noticed man_made=reservoir_covered is in the JOSM presets and map
features, though a page doesn't exist for it.

It would seem useful to be able to export calibrated maps from OSM,
perhaps via the export tab. This would make it quick and easy for
someone to actually use OSM in their device and software of choice.
A calibration file could be downloaded together with image files
