Until recently, I would guess the annual Tangomarkkinat in Seinajoki, Finland. When I was there in 2004, it ran for five days, 10:00AM to 4:00AM daily. Most of the music was live, too. Very strange to dance so close to the arctic circle, too. It never really got dark. Sorry to report the

Yes, it's interesting, isn't it? I've spent quite a bit of time in both countries and tango seems to have waxed and waned in both of them. In the 1950's and 1960's, tango in Argentina seems to have been in decline in Argentina; but, this same is the rising golden age of tango in Finland. I

Hahaha! Read the article about tango that appeared in National Geographic a couple of years ago. The photos that accompanied the story were taken in BsAs. The author said that they weren't allowed to bring cameras into a few of the milongas because the cameras might catch people dancing
