We have gone from 3.3.3 to mailman3 3.3.8 with an operating system update to Debian 12 (Devuan 4). Missed the broken kernel (I checked).
The previous system had numerous faults, particularly around archiving which I was unable to fix in the time I had available. This message is partly to see if anything is fixed.
