Just a word of caution. Gordon is of course completely correct but there may be consequences to upgrades. I upgraded my ram and core processors on my VM machine and Windows decided that I had installed it on another machine and stated it was not genuine and refused to be activated. This is an entirely legally purchased version of Windows, in the end I employed an engineer this afternoon and he managed to reactivate my Windows using a different key but really this should not have been necessary.

But the warning means you have the memory allocation set too low in the VM preferences. To fix this problem, decrease the memory size of this virtual machine to 444 MB. It is possible that native applications and/or services have locked down memory which could be preventing the virtual machine from launching. Shutting down unnecessary applications or services may free enough memory to launch this virtual machine. If you were able to power on this virtual machine on this host computer in the past, try rebooting the host computer. Rebooting may allow you to use slightly more host memory to run virtual machines. what can i do ======================================= The Techno-Chat E-Mail forum is guaranteed malware, spyware, Trojan, virus and worm-free To modify your subscription options, please visit for forum's dedicated web pages located at http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/mailman/listinfo/techno-chat You can find an archive of all messages posted to the Techno-Chat group at either of the following websites: http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/techno-chat/index.html Or: <http://www.mail-archive.com/techno-chat@techno-chat.net> you may also subscribe to this list via RSS.
