I noticed when I tried to install F16 Alpha TC1 on a new guest ie:
without any existing partition table that Anaconda is forcing GPT
instead of msdos even on a classic BIOS (non EFI)
Any idea why ?

AFAIK, the fallback mode is intended to mimic Gnome shell layout, not
the old Gnome2's, this can be seen in clock/calendar position.
