It seems like vncviewer has some issue on Fedora 18. This is what I
routinely use to connect to a computer at work.
vncviewer -via username@server_ip 127.0.0.1:xx -geometry 1300x800
This works on F17 but not on F18. All I get on F18 is the output of
vncviewer --help. There is absolutely no error
