If you don't like the automatic avoiding of staff lines, you may use
\Nosluradjust, it turns off this feature and the ties will always start
at the preset point. Improvement is questionable, though. :-)

The Postscript ties are avoiding staff lines automatically, that's why
their position does not always match their non-PS version. Hot sure if
it's the case here, though, I am long out of business...

If you work through musixps.tex, the only difference between \iten and
\itie is in the *horizontal* offset.But there should be a different
*vertical* offset as well.
