figured out that \startpiece also does the job. And now I realize that for
my purpose I wanted the bar numbering also to be reset to 1, which
\startpiece does. So to do it in PMX, you can use the redefinition trick:

(evidently I have two) and then the magic “add files” link appeared. Now we’ll
see whether they accept the uploads. I was forced to choose between “score” and
“parts”, but I provided both, and wound up combining them into a
