Strange. I just tried downloading

on a mac and viewing it with acroread 4.05, without problems.
Could you try to download the file directly (i.e. without
extracting it from the .zip). If that works, the zip is corrupted
(at least from your Mac's POV). Otherwise, it probably
has to do with the difference between 4.05 and 4.05a
(but I don't know what to do about that...)

Too bad you can't read the FAQ which has a list of
download locations (maybe I should make an HTML version ;-)
Get KOMA from
ftp://ftp.dante.de/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/supported/koma-script
or any other CTAN mirror, it will unpack scrartcl.cls among others.
Soul is also on CTAN under e.g.
ftp://ftp.dante.de/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/supported/soul
