Hello,
I have two units that don't produce any output and the lock pin floats
around +2.3 volts continuously. The +15v load starts at about 1.8A
and drops down to about 0.7A on both units, but I never get a +5V or
0V on the lock or a 10MHz out signal. (I'm not using an LED on the
lock pin, just

Hi Dave,
A silly question, although you did not indicate, you are supplying a separate
5
volts to the unit are you not ?

I received a few used units, and one was bad. I contacted nichegeek
via eBay with the issue and symptoms, and they are sending me a
replacement. Assuming it comes half as fast as the original shipment,
and it works, my transaction will still be a positive one.

Are you doing this for temperature stability? How stable is it?

Anyone have a different/later PICTIC II parts list (or from an alternate
supplier)?
Thanks,

Hello,
I am placing my TADD-2 into the TAPR TADD enclosure, and I need to know the
size / threads of the fixed mounting posts.
Anyone know?
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks John.
I picked some screws up at the local hardware store. I see what you mean
about the BNC mounting...
FYI, I had to bend the vertical nut ears a bit to be able to get the board
in, and screwed in.
I'm probably going to be operating open lid for a while just to see the
LED status.
Hello,
I'm looking for a decent outdoor antenna for my Thunderbolt... I need to
graduate beyond the puck-antenna in the window sill.
Any recommendations and/or sources (the lower cost, the better of course!)?
Thanks,

Today I have been trying to drive a 5370B directly from a TADD-2, with
little luck (other HP freq counters seem to work OK). I was about to ask
about it on this list, but noticed this thread.
I guess this could explain why I am getting erroneous, random readings?

Thanks for the tips Bruce.
Is there a better version of the 74AC04? It sounds like I should also
use an attenuator, perhaps 3 - 10 dB...

Hi all,
Halted has some very cheap Trimble magnetic mouse GPS antennas, for
$3.95. I was able to get one to work with my Tbolt, simply by putting
an F-connector on the cable. The mouse comes with a proprietary
connector...not sure what the coax is.
Hello,
I'm new to the high-accuracy timing arena, and I'm looking for good
books or other information on the topic in general, preferably
starting from Ground Zero.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
