why do older thunderbolts use an F connector for the antenna? (the
current version uses a BNC).
It seems like it needlessly complicates installation at a base station.
I've always wondered this.

Graham,
I have a 2 symmetricom 58535a GPS splitters and 2 Huber + Suhner
3403.17.0003 GPS lightning arrestors that are surplus to my needs.
One splitter and is out of the original pack but the other 3 are still
sealed.

I'm not sure why watching TV has to be so difficult now. I would be

My question is why is it done that way at all? It seems impractical in
the extreme. Why not use a meter? Or the afore mentioned vibrating
reeds?
What happens when the clock rates sync up again, since the wall clock
time will still be ahead/behind the sat clock? Do they reset the wall
