The watch is fine. Ive intentionally set it to be off time to have it
automatically recover with essentially leap second precision.

Since its a relevant piece of kit I've included the mail from ARNSW here.
Two units are available if anybody is interested.
Cheers.

Amateur Radio NSW as for sale two HP 5372A time and interval analysers.
Both are working with good

The fault was found by somebody with a heck of a lot more experience than

Turns out the 5v regulator had shorted out, a protection diode did it's
thing and popped the fuse protecting the rest of the system.

out why...

I can pick one up in excellent condition for a reasonably low price... but

Thanks for that Bob.
From the circuit diagram the path to ground appears to be on either the 3v
the 5v lines that are fed via this fuse. When I disconnect the power
supply from the rest of the system the fuse doesn't blow which suggests the
fault is in the logic board, of course it could simply
I've decided to pick up this unit as it is in really nice condition and
inexpensive.
I'll see if I can pickup the e-loran signals on my ham kit over that
weekend to see if there is any point, failing that another member of time
buts may be interested.

Recently I've been on the hunt for test gear so facilitate moving up into
the microwave bands (ham radio), accurate timing being one of the basics to
be sorted. As part of this I've recently acquired a HP 5335A with OCXO
and HP5350B microwave frequency counter, both picked up today.
I've setup
While I may be counting chickens, I'm likely to take delivery of an Austron

and I've seen the extensive thread from this mailing list circa 2007 where
the thread seemed to peter out at the end. Worst case I could probably
A would have thought a simple band pass filter would do the job by tuning
out the harmonics.

I have a dozen ublox max-7's on hand and should have suitable PCB's
for the analysis in a couple of days. Unfortunately I don't have the
analyser, the test kit is currently limited to a HP5834A recently
calibrated to Rb and a 100MHz DSO so probably not what your looking
for.
