Well regardless, I updated the other post with some info about the underlying
problem. It would seem that there was an automagic system casting dates to
text in the past, but no longer.
So, substring is not the problem as was first mentioned but rather just the
lack of casting a

I don't see this in the purchase management.
This is useful to keep the history of all supplier offers.
