A brochure dated 25july2007 by them has these words:

is available under a commercial license or
for academic use under a GPL license.

and a download of 0.9.5 version has GPLv2 in it....
It's a real GPLv2 license for academic or any use, right? If so, I
suppose their commercial license is for support... Anyone know more? I
asked them and haven't heard back yet.
