The recent little spate of gratitude posts from
TIPSters Jim Matiya and Jodi Gabert reminded me of having read about one of
Marty Seligman's newest avenues in his Positive Psychology. It was chosen

I just read the article and got something different from it; I read it as

- important classroom issues are in decline

- too Eurogenic
-decline in posts from international tipsters
- has failed to attract African-American and Latino profs
- a recent survey
This one is even better than the Passion of the Christ one a few weeks
ago. grin I'm amazed that any of us can manage to take any of this
seriously, and believe that his posts are honest attempts to discuss
psychology coming from someone who is who he says he is.
Still, I've got to admit that I

Having attended Davis and worked on a project with Phil Shaver, I followed
the attachment literature closely.
The origins of Adult Attachment literature seem to stem from two sources.
One is from the Hazan and Shaver work where they postulated that there
might be a similar process and developed

In the course of responding to Stephen I ventured into another

Hello,
I am one of the people who wrote their dissertations on attachment (and
evolutionary psychology) so I thought I'd pass along a little information on
this topic.
In many ways, I do see attachment theory as an operationalization of Freud
(our childhood haunts us). However, some of the

I wonder how many other TIPSters are planning to attend APA this July. I'd
like to have a special get-together for all of us moslem TIPSters on Tuesday
evening. I'm sure I'm not the only moslem on the list, right?
(Cubans will also be welcome).

And the source of these statistics is?
I need more evidence and also alternative explanations.
Perhaps subscriptions are declining because of a ceiling effect?
The same old same old gets recycled, and this is true on all lists that have
