Seems as if some folks explain their motivation towards certain types of
activities by saying that they get an adrenaline rush from their work:
sensation seekers,cops,EMT personnel and thrill seekers.
is there really good evidence to confirm that this is really what happens
in their work and
Often, in a particular domain, an idea is repeated so frequently that
it becomes ownerless, or ownerful (full of owners) as the case may be.
Unless one is writing a history of the domain or about the evolution
of theory, the original source may be lost. I have just dealt with the
same "idea"
I think that articles such as this serve mainly to maintain a political and
emotionally-charged rift between therapists and researchers, when in reality
they should be working together.
