How can I run two version of tomcat using different server.xml files?
I need one for testing and one for development on the same machine...
use -f xmlfile option to launch tomcat
for instance:
startup -f server1.xml
same thing for shutdown.

Hello all,
I would like to know the URL of a servlet _in its init method_:
I need it to know how it is called without having to tell it via a
config file...
I know how to get it when dealing with doGet or doPost, but can't
find any api at init time :(
did I miss something?
thanks

to read war contents, use jar, winzip, or other 'jar-aware' tools...

Hi...
you seem working on windows (your email header say so): beware on case ;)
it is NOT web-inf, it is WEB-INF (under explorer right-click on dir,
porperties gives you exact name).

, and found nothing :-(
it seems that the jvm is in a very bad state...
I did try my sample with a tomcat 3.3b2 and it hangged too.
maybe there is actually a JVM or an OS problem, but I don't know how to
find problem nature precisely...
any tip somewhere ?

): I did write a simple sample that shows tomcat hangging.
Sorry to say I do not have any answer, and, personally, no alternative
JVM :-(( (anybody knows a non-IBM jvm ?).
talking about your case, I would run back to Sun's jvm (let me know if
that solve something).

understand: my sample make new url connections very
often: 50 threads opening URL connections every some seconds :
either Thread.activeCount() and ps -o THREAD give a constant
number of thread (after some boot time).
So I don't see where keepAlive would have some meaning.
