So do I, but it did download it as a winzip file,
so I renamed it to jasper-compiler.jar and looked at its contents with
winzip and it looks like its a good jar file.
- haven't actually tried it through ...
... because my user.dir fix works fine for me.
It might be worth another go if

I renamed the file, unzip it, put into the jasper-compiler.jar and !!it
works!!
After some days now I have tomcat 4.1.10 working!

That's it. Just rename it to jasper-compiler.jar
For some reason all the files attachments that are retrieved from there
get the name showattachment.zip
