There is two method to connect an apache server to tomcat :
- mod_jserv which use ajp12 protocol (from Apache JServ)
- mod_jk which could use ajp12 and also support

there is a tar on the jakarta.apache.org website.
just un-tar it and you are installed. so no need for an RPM since tomcat
works of the relative directory structure.
