TREG'ers, Having spoken with ICASA yesterday I can confirm the following status: Newsflash (1st Aug 02) ICASA held a meeting this morning on the adoption of TBR21/38 (Analogue non-voice/voice standards) with the following conclusions: All local parties now in agreement to implement the TBR21 & TBR38 (including previously opposed Telco), with a few minor amendments. Timescales as follows:
- ICASA to issue draft regulation by end of September 2002. - Public comment solicited for one month, until end of October 2002. - Any amendment incorporated and final regulation to be issued by end of November 2002.
