I think calling _controllers_ methods 'view' is rather un-intuitive. I
like 'expose' much better cause it really about 'exposing' certain
methods to the outside world.

Dear List,
Some really stupid questions here:
1: How do you display a widget? I've got one defined, and then have:
test_wid = widgets.CalendarDatePicker(name=date_seen,
label=Date Seen)
with ${test_wid} in the kid template - but I get a long text string. DO

Both MySQL itself and MySQLdb are very flexible when it comes to

I'm looking for a python web framework to build web apps talking to a

So I take it a try.
The result? admi18n itself works smoothly, the feature of

Thanks Rune,
It works.
The required steps are here:
1. Put session_filter.on = True in dev.cfg
2. Put turbogears.i18n.set_session_locale(tw) in controller method

I think you need to move the file from its temporary location while the

As regards your suggestion, I'm in favour, on the grounds that generalising
any mechanism is almost always a good thing, provided the added complexity
is not visible when using the simple case. (It would be a _really_ bad idea

Im trying to use checkboxes in my form , just a simple html form.
However when i try to call in the submit button to a function defined
in controller.py it will not let me pass thorugh the parameter for the

input type=checkbox
What is the error? How did you define the funtion download(what
arguments)? Did you make sure it was exposed?
I don't know if this was just when you posted it but you have ziplist
misspelled:
input type=checkbox name=ziplilst checked=false/
For an array of checkboxes you might want to use the
Ziplist is spelt correctly with in my code, that was a type. The

You can very easily NOT use SQLObject if you want in TG.
But some things depend on it. The visit and identity subsystems require
a database by default. They should be interchangeable with some other
system, but I don't know if someone has implemented that yet.
Nice to hear that it's working. I'll update the doc in the toolbox to
include session_filter.on.

The 'class CheckBoxListDesc(CoreWD)' is only relevent to the toolbox. If you are creating you own widgets to be packagedas an add-on to TG, then it's used to show how your widget is to be used. Basically, it doesn't need to be in your
controller at all. I am using the svn version of TG and I don't
