Venkat, I made a couple of points below. Send me the stylesheet and I'll
look through it if you want. The complication for your second question is
that in XPath/XSLT 1.0, some instructions work with the first node in a
nodeset, while others iterate through the whole nodeset.

Friends, I'm working on a demo to illustrate the flexibility SCA provides
to client applications. I want to take the exact same code and use it to
invoke different services using different access methods, etc., without
changing the code. As I see it, there are three ways to do this. In
Gang, how is XPath support implemented today? I've looked at the code
briefly in the past, but couldn't make sense of it. I was hoping that
XPath support came from the Xalan jar files. If that were true, it would
be a SMOP to replace the Xalan XPath libraries with the Saxon libraries.
