Firefox 3.5 is totally different from Firefox 3.0. Firefox 3.0 will
not auto-update to Firefox 3.5. Firefox 3.0 will only update to
Firefox 3.0.1, 3.0.2, etc. Firefox 3.5 will only update to Firefox

Well, I think the main question was is there any way to UPGRADE Firefox 3.5
from 3.
Generally, when we try ti install FF3.5 it does not upgrade the previous
FF3.0. It installs a new browser named Shiretoko, what is the code name of
FF3.5.
There is third party solution to in FF 3.5 upon FF3.0. it'

The "shiretoko" is the real firefox 3.5, complete with all the
features. Due to a trademark/licensing problem, linux distro's cannot
include the official firefox branding, without a specific agreement
from Mozilla. So they release it as "Shiretoko", "Iceweasel", etc. You
can also download the firef
if Canonical put firefox3.5 in the repo of your distro you'll get it.
Otherwise not.
