Russell bro, Unfortunately the guy re-installed XP on that Ubuntu-Server(which re-wrote on the Bootloader at MBR) and I ran the ubuntu recovery from the CD. But it didn't seem to have recognised previously installed Ubuntu. So I had to postpone the further expeditions for now. On my Ubuntu, after a power failure. The Full version of Ubuntu got corrupted :( its showing a msg after login The GNOME session manage was unable to lock the file '/home/*username*/.ICEauthority' Please report this as a GNOME bug. Sometimes this error may occur if the file's directory is unwritable, you could try logging in via the failsafe session and ensuring that it is. I logged in to the terminal and checked that file but it had r-w-x type setting. Also tried failsafe login BUT DIDN'T HELP at all! NOW What to do? Please do some checkups of you hard drive.
