workshop organised in Presidency University.
i'm using ubuntu for the last 3-4 months. my ubuntu version is 9.04.
i had a nvidia graphics card in my old cpu, used compiz successfully then.
but recently i hv
GMA X3100 is blacklisted by Compiz, that's why the effects aren't working.
In order to make it work add the following line on your
~/.config/compiz/compiz-manager file (create the file if it doesn't
exist):
SKIP_CHECKS=yes
You'll be able to enable visual effects now, but there will be certain

after mailing here yesternight, I tried uninstalling the nvidia soft from the
synaptic coz it was previously installed when I had my nvidia graphics card in
my old CPU.
when i restarted my pc, the display was totally ok and compiz was working fine.
