Hi Did you try to delete those files by root access?? in terminal run *sudo nautilus* when the root folder pops up browse to the folder and delete it. and if that does not work.. try super root access... in terminal run sperately *sudo su nautilus* then browse to the folder you want to delete.

russell bhai, Sorry I didn't reply earlier. My downloaded ISO was corrupt and I didnt get around to installing hardy for a while. But I just tried this method with a new ISO download. Unfortunately this method did not work like a cd install and after showing a few things not found, booted into
